Very easy to get to, 1.5 miles off I-40. The new owners breathe wonderful new life into this park! The office in the camp store is immaculate! The store itself was well stocked. The owners were very personable, friendly, and professional. They even deliver firewood! Though the site is gravel, there is a nice wooden deck on the terraced slope, complete with a dinette and a nearby fire ring. There’s a nice laundry room with five washers and four dryers. Verizon Wireless Internet and T-Mobile 5G had good connectivity. They do offer camp-wide Wi-Fi. We were able to pick up four digital HD broadcast channels. There is a children’s playground. The bathrooms and showers are large and clean. There is a pool, as well as a stocked catch-and-release fishing pond. There are cabins for rent, as well as the Cannonball Loft as an Airbnb. Really, a gorgeous park!

We have stayed here many times for a night as we passed east or west on I-40. This time, though, we decided to stay for two nights and take in the Shiloh National Military Park. The RV Park is clean and pristine. We were in a pull-through that easily accommodated our 45′ MH and tow vehicle. We did not try the internet, opting for Star Link. The ATT signal was strong, and our satellite hooked up with no problem. Walking for our two small dogs was easy. The loop around the lake is nice. Our RV site was clean and level. We will continue to frequent this lovely park.

Excellent park. The location and setting are excellent. Bill and Sue are wonderful owners. I had a little project, and Bill was very helpful. The grounds and the pond are just exceptional. The only disappointment was that my husband didn’t have a fishing rod! On our way back west, we want to plan a week’s stay.”

If I had to make up an imaginary RV park that was a “mom and pop” place, it would look like Parkers Crossroads. It started with the phone call to Sue, who was the nicest, most polite, and informative person you could want to talk with. We arrived at a warm welcome by Sue and her husband in the perfect little office/camp store. After some pleasant conversation, we were escorted to our campsite and even assisted with positioning our rig just right. Clean does not begin to describe this place. Everything is in its place. Obviously, the owners have great pride in ownership. The sites are gravel and maybe a little close together. But each site includes a nice deck with a table and chairs – a great place to grill, enjoy an evening drink, or just rest. We used the laundry facilities as well as the showers/restrooms. Both were spotlessly clean, fully functional, and had great water pressure. There is a beautiful little lake with ducks and fishing if you desire (we didn’t). I rarely leave reviews. But this place just checks all the boxes. If you’re passing through, this is the place you want to stay.

We were met as we pulled in, directed to our site, and set up in less than 20 minutes. This is a very clean park, the owners were very friendly, and we loved our overnight there. The site we had was a lower-level concrete lot, which means when you’re tired, like we were, you pull in and have nothing to do but rest. Will definitely put Parkers Crossroads RV Park on our list of stops when traveling through this area. Very quiet, and the Mexican Restaurant a mile away was great!” ~Jeff J.

Very well kept, neat campground. Always making improvements to better serve customers. Owners are very friendly and will bend over backward to assist with any issues you may have. Highly recommend for a one-night stay or extended stay.” ~Robert R.

Our first RV experience and they’ve spoiled us for all future campgrounds- simply amazing!!! The views are beautiful, the pool is well kept, the bathrooms and showers are immaculate, and the staff is friendly and hospitable. Our family definitely recommends, and we will be back for sure!!” ~Esther C.

We’ve been here almost a week. Everything else was booked up for the Memorial Day weekend, but Sue and Bill could get us in. Today was my birthday, and they even sang to me and gave me hugs. The grounds are well-kept, the pond is a relaxing delight, and the staff is the friendliest u will find anywhere. No better campground to be had.” ~Diane F.

For those traveling on I 40 Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground is a great place to stay. Friendly staff! Level sites with concrete pads! New bathrooms! And nice setting without all the highway noise!” ~Linda D.

Very friendly staff, great customer service, clean campgrounds, and level sites. I highly recommend this RV Park. We will be staying here in the future.” ~Kimberly F.

Personalized Review for Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground

We often get personal thanks and feedback from our guests. Here’s another happy camper who let us know how much fun they had at our campground.

Bill and Sue,

Thank you!!!  Cindy and I had a wonderful stay at your park.  While it was
only one night and about 12 hours, we felt at home.

Sue, you’re greeting when Cindy walked into the door was heartfelt and
genuine.  You called her by name like a long-lost friend.  And Bill, you’re
patient escort and care to make sure we were set for the night was a welcome
treat after a long 12 hour day on the road.

We will be back and share our recommendation with any we know that pass you
way.

Note – I want to explore the history of the battlefield and history of the
area.

We made it safe and sound to our destination – Natural Bridge / Lexington,
VA yesterday.  This will be “base camp #1” as I hike another section of the
Appalachian Trail.  Cindy and our dog, Patches, is my pit crew.  They
shuttle me to and from the AT each day.  Hiking the entire 2,200 mile length
is a retirement bucket list challenge of mine.  I got 550 miles in last year
and hope to get another 300+ this year.  It will take me a few more years to
get it all, but God willing, I will continue the walk.

And we use my walk to spread awareness of Pitt Hopkin’s Syndrome.  One of
our grand daughters is a Pitt Hopkin’s kid.  I share her story and the story
of other PHS kiddo’s and pass along a Collins’ Camino bracket so she stays
with them as they hike, something she may never do.  Next time we are
through, we will leave you both a CC bracelet.

We’ve added an additional element to this month’s 137 mile hike.  We are
also spreading Alzheimer’s awareness along the trail.  My mother is
currently suffering from ALZ.

Thanks again for letting us stay in “your home”.

And until our path cross again, God bless you and keep you.”

Jeff & Cindy L.
